Behringer Minimoog Model D Clone Shipping Soon

A range of switches is provided for selecting between: triangle or square wave oscillation; modulation On or Off; OSC 3 or Filter EG Filter Envelope ; and Noise Mod SRC or LFO. I mean, I own a few Behringer products, but they're not listed on my studio card. Hope this is helpful anyway.

So - cleaner sound from the new machine maybe? Do not turn off the MODEL D or let it cool down, until all the calibrations are completed. Old will work in a slightly different way, maybe less headroom more noise.

Behringer Minimoog Model D Clone Shipping Soon - Sweetwater synth mavens are savoring the Behringer D.

I can't be the only one who hears this though I recall someone picked A because it was brighter , but again, the B Sub-37 is a pair of sawtooth oscillators in unison, and A Model D is a pair of sawtooth oscillators an octave apart. If listening doesn't convince you, here's an FFT of B grabbed from a section with the filter full open ; the harmonics fall off as a sawtooth: Here's A—note how every other harmonic is boosted, because the oscillators are an octave apart: Yes, I was kind of confused about this. The Minitaur is a great sounding synth, do you own one? Sounds like a Minitaur to me. I sold it few days ago. It is a wonderfull synth but sounds very different from that. I had it for 3 years I listen it again. It sounds like minitaur mostly, but from 34sec It is some kind of processing engaged, i do not remember that kind of minitaur... If listening doesn't convince you, here's an FFT of B grabbed from a section with the filter full open ; the harmonics fall off as a sawtooth: Here's A—note how every other harmonic is boosted, because the oscillators are an octave apart: Uuuh. Mea Culpa And good ears indeed I was so sure I checked everything several times before I recorded, guess I didn't. So I recorded again, this time with first both oscillators in the same range and then switching the second 1 octave up. But our heating failed this morning and it is quite chilly in my flat. I had to re-adjust both MooBoogs several times and use the built in Tuner from Ableton. Maybe I am not really good at this or should use more time, but as I mentioned I am not that patient. Hope this is helpful anyway. Neither the original nor Behringer reissue have any opamps or other ICs on the signal path from oscillators to the main output. All the internal amplifiers are built from discrete transistors in both. Ah, yes my mistake the OPAMP ICs are for mixing the CVs. Please exchange IC for discrete circuit in my last post for my point. For example resistor A may have exactly the same Ohm value as resistor B but be much more noisy, this IS the case in the Behringer: the original D had high noise resistors, the new one has low noise, nothing to do with age btw.. Old will work in a slightly different way, maybe less headroom more noise. So - cleaner sound from the new machine maybe? Found some patch sheets: Don't know why B hasn't it included some in the manual. Copyright sure has run out There should be plenty of others around on the net, if one runs out of inspiration. Btw, in the meantime i tried to dial in that ELP Aquatarkus Patch: Sounds pretty prog-rocky to me Btw, it's fun to have to dial in those intervals by ear I think this is evidence of how superb the tracking calibration of the oscs is on the D... Job well done, Behringer. Ok, the oscs go out of tune after some time, but that's how it is, but tracking stays perfect Btw, in the meantime i tried to dial in that ELP Aquatarkus Patch: Sounds pretty prog-rocky to me Btw, it's fun to have to dial in those intervals by ear I think this is evidence of how superb the tracking calibration of the oscs is on the D... Job well done, Behringer. Ok, the oscs go out of tune after some time, but that's how it is, but tracking stays perfect The release could be a bit longer but nice and juicy!! Can you ply the same as before 3 octaves higher? Is it still correct intervals? But the sound is still no where near yours with zero glide 3 octaves above C as root note root stays in tune 4ths is off by 8ct on the sharp side coming from 0. Can you send me a photo of your D's settings by PM? Old will work in a slightly different way, maybe less headroom more noise. So - cleaner sound from the new machine maybe? Behringer may have a little less noise and a very slight difference in filter due to better tolerance capacitors, but those are pretty much the only relevant differences due to old vs new components,.

So I recorded again, this time with first both oscillators in the same range and then switching the second 1 octave up. Thank God there are more choices for us. Based on what I've seen and heard of the SE-02 that will take some doing. Get one and create some inspired music. The Minitaur is a great sounding synth, do you own one. At these low prices, Behringer is cutting a lot of corners. Turn on the MODEL D rear panel power switch and check that its Power LED comes on.
